The zMAX CARS Tour announced its 2025 schedule on Monday afternoon, with an impressive 15-race schedule featuring some big changes. The Southeast’s premier Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model touring series will kick off its season on Saturday, March 1, and conclude its season seven months later on Saturday, October 18.

The 11th season in CARS Tour history will kick off at Jacksonville, North Carolina’s extremely abrasive d-shaped oval of New River All-American Speedway. The last three races at New River All-American Speedway have featured thrilling showdowns for the win. In 2022, Connor Hall barely held off Deac McCaskill by just 0.288-second to win. In 2023, it was Brenden “Butterbean” Queen holding off Ronnie Bassett Jr. in a wild finish, while in 2024 three-time champion Bobby McCarty out-dueled Mini Tyrrell to score the win.

The Pro Late Models will also open their season at New River All-American, marking the first time the Pro Late Model division has raced at the Jacksonville facility.

The Late Model Stock Cars will then head to Raleigh, North Carolina for a battle at the always entertaining quarter-mile bullring of Wake County Speedway on Saturday, March 29. The Pro Late Models will not be in action during that event.

After that, the Tour heads from its newest track to one of its longest tenured. Both divisions will head to Rougemont, North Carolina’s Orange County Speedway on Saturday, April 26.

Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, North Carolina was the location of one of the wildest races of the 2024 season that eventually was won by Brent Crews in August. This year Ace Speedway will host the CARS Tour once, and it will be on Friday, May 2. The Pro Late Models will also be in action.

From there both divisions will turn their attention to the lightning fast, historic North Wilkesboro Speedway where for the third year in a row the CARS Tour will be featured during NASCAR’s All-Star Race weekend. Both divisions will be in action on Wednesday, May 14 to kick off All-Star Race weekend in style.

After one week off the CARS Tour then heads to Virginia’s Langley Speedway on Saturday, May 31, which is now home to the closest finish in CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car history. Connor Hall held off Brent Crews by seven one-thousandths of a second to win following an insane late race battle that saw Hall, Crews, and Carson Kvapil come to the line three-wide.

The Pro Late Models will not be in action at Langley. That will be the final time the CARS Tour does not run a doubleheader for the rest of 2025.

Speaking of photo finishes, the CARS Tour then heads to Virginia’s Dominion Raceway on Saturday June 14, which is the home of the second-closest finish in CARS Tour LMSC history. That finish came in 2023 when Bobby McCarty held off Brenden Queen by nine one-thousandths of a second. This will also mark the first time that the CARS Tour Pro Late Models will be in action at Dominion, which is sure to make this one of the biggest nights on the whole calendar.

After a couple of weeks off, both divisions will return to action on Wednesday, July 2 at Sophia, North Carolina’s Caraway Speedway. Brent Crews scored the victory there in 2023 in one of the crazier races of the season. Tristan McKee took the Pro Late Model victory in 2023 there as well.

The zMAX CARS Tour will then enjoy a whole month off before returning to the famous Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 2. Though the CARS Tour has been visiting Hickory since its inaugural season in 2015, the summer race at Hickory is always one of the events everyone looks forward to the most since it was added to the CARS Tour schedule in 2017.

On Saturday, August 16, the CARS Tour will return to South Carolina’s Anderson Motor Speedway for the first time since 2017. Only one current-day CARS Tour LMSC driver was in competition that night, and that is Claremont, North Carolina’s Landon Huffman, who finished 13th in a race that was won by Josh Berry. The 3/8-mile race track located just south of Greenville, South Carolina will also host the Pro Late Model division for the first time.

The CARS Tour will stay in the Palmetto State for the next race, which will be a Friday night showdown at Florence Motor Speedway. 2024’s trip to Florence saw Ryan Millington break a four-year winless drought in front of a packed grandstand in the Late Model Stock Car feature, and Spencer Davis finally won with the CARS Tour Pro Late Models as well.

With just three races remaining on the 2025 calendar, the CARS Tour will head back to Virginia for one final time to take on the iconic South Boston Speedway on Saturday, September 13. Two-time champion Carson Kvapil scored the LMSC win there in 2024 while Davis took the PLM victory.

On Saturday, October 4, the penultimate race of the 2025 season will be contested at Granite Falls, North Carolina’s Tri-County Speedway. This will be the only trip to Tri-County for the CARS Tour in 2025 after going there two times in 2024. Brenden Queen won the first LMSC race, while Conner Jones survived a wild one to win there in the fall. Jake Bollman won the Pro Late Model race there in May, while eventual champion Kaden Honeycutt would take the victory at Tri-County in the fall.

After that, both divisions will crown their champions under the bright lights of the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway for the second season in a row on Saturday, October 18.
