FAIRBURY, IL -- Two races complete, two races washed out, three races on deck for the MARS Late Model tour. The series saw the highest of highs at Maquoketa Speedway, at the end of March, as packed grandstands and beautiful weather greeted the 47 Late Model teams that attended the event throughout the weekend. Mother Nature was not so kind the following weekend as events at Paducah International Raceway and Charleston Speedway were canceled due to heavy rains and major flooding in the Paducah, Kentucky area. This weekend the tour looks to get back on track with three events and a potential $20,000+ weekend if a driver were to sweep all three.

The ARCA Menards Series East is set for its second race of the 2025 season on Saturday, which sees the division return to the historic Rockingham Speedway for the first time in more than a decade. And with that return comes a large field pushing 30 cars for Saturday’s 125-lap race.

There’s a popular saying that “the third time is the charm” and let’s hope that holds true for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. This week, NASCAR’s oldest division looks to contest the “Icebreaker 150” at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. After being rained out and rescheduled twice, the third attempt at running the race will take place on Wednesday, April 16.

Rookie Funny Car driver Spencer Hyde raced to the win today in the Funny Car Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hyde powered the Head Inc Funny Car to the winner’s circle on a tricky track that saw him post solid elapsed times in his Funny Car also backed by Hyde Construction, Red Line Oil and Dordan Mechanical. Hyde qualified for the specialty race on the strength of his semifinal finish at the historic NHRA Winternationals two weeks ago. In the final quad Hyde outran Cruz Pedregon, Matt Hagan and Chad Green to collect the $10,000 cash prize and three important championship points. His efforts throughout qualifying also netted him No. 3 qualifier, the highest starting position of his career.

The USAC Silver Crown Series raced Sunday at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana. Logan Seavey claimed the win over Justin Grant and Brady Bacon.
