Luke Baldwin, the 2024 SMART Modified Tour champion, has signed a deal to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the No. 66 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing at Martinsville Speedway on Friday, March 28, the team announced Thursday. Baldwin told FloRacing that he signed a three-race deal with his remaining two races still to be announced.

The SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic is set to begin its fifth season in the modern era of the Tour since Chris WIlliams re-birthed the tour in 2021.  Fans attending Saturday's Florence Motor Speedway’s season opening Zach Brewer Memorial, or watching live on FloRacing will notice a lot of changes to the driver roster.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Carter McMurray, 14, will compete full-time in the 2025 SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic. Driving the No. 40 PSR Products Chevrolet, he aims to follow in the footsteps of his father, Daytona 500 champion Jamie McMurray, and build a future in racing.

Towards the end of the 2024 season, Modified veteran Jimmy Blewett was competing full-time on the SMART Modified Tour when he began to have abdominal pain. The discomfort increased and before the season finale at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina, the Howell, New Jersey driver went to the doctors. It was determined that he had an intestinal infection known as diverticulitis. The degree in which the condition had progressed required surgery.

The zMAX CARS Tour announced its 2025 schedule on Monday afternoon, with an impressive 15-race schedule featuring some big changes. One of the most successful teams in the zMAX CARS Tour is teaming up with one of the sport’s bright young stars. 16-year old open-wheel Modified standout Carson Loftin will pilot the No. 22 Nelson Motorsports Toyota full-time in 2025.

Times may change, tradition rolls on which is why Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Budweiser are reuniting to bring back one of the most recognizable paint schemes in racing history. The NASCAR Hall of Famer will drive the historic No. 8 Chevrolet with the iconic Bud King of Beers paint scheme once again for a limited series of Late Model Stock Car Races in 2024 and 2025. The paint scheme will make its return to the track for the first time in 17 years on November 23, 2024 when Earnhardt Jr. competes in the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway.
