The zMAX CARS Tour announced its 2025 schedule on Monday afternoon, with an impressive 15-race schedule featuring some big changes. The Southeast’s premier Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model touring series will kick off its season on Saturday, March 1, and conclude its season seven months later on Saturday, October 18.

The 16th running of “America’s Hottest Race,” the Hampton Heat 200 at Langley Speedway is finally upon us. It is expected to be the biggest version yet, so let’s make sure you the race fan knows what to expect heading into Saturday night.

This week’s Hampton Heat 200 at Virginia’s Langley Speedway is officially the biggest one yet in the event’s 16-year history. And that’s no exaggeration. This weekend, the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car series will execute a quick turnaround from last week’s expanded-purse thriller at Tri-County Speedway, traveling eastward for a 125-lap show at Larry King Law’s Langley (Va,) Speedway. The flat .400-mile oval makes for outstanding racing, and several of the drivers and teams battling for the overall zMAX CARS Tour LMSC championship are among the best statistically on its layout. They include Brenden Queen, last week’s winner at Tri-County, perennial challenger and current points leader Connor Hall—a Langley native–and two-time and defending LMSC champion Carson Kvapil. All have outstanding records there. The fast, flat track in Langley is sure to provide plenty of thrills this weekend.

On Monday afternoon, zMAX CARS Tour officials unveiled their 19-race schedule for the 2024 season, which will kick off at Southern National Motorsports Park in March, and end at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway in mid-October.

It's been a long five years for Kyle Bonsignore, but he finally found his way back to victory lane on Saturday night at Virginia's Langley Speedway. Bonsignore out-dueled Austin Beers with just a handful of laps remaining to finally take the lead and secure the victory. Gone is Bonsignore's 58-race winless drought that dated back to the 2018 Fall Final at Stafford Motor Speedway. Kyle Bonsignore is a winner once again.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to Virginia’s Langley Speedway for the CheckeredFlag.com 150 this Saturday night. With just seven races left on the 2023 calendar for the ground-pounders, the championship picture is starting to come into focus, and boy is it going to be a heavy-weight fight to the finish in October.

Reigning NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion car owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. announced on Sunday afternoon on Facebook that he has cancer and his race team, Tommy Baldwin Racing, will be on hiatus.

For the second time in his career, hometown hero Brenden "Butterbean" Queen drove to the victory in the Hampton Heat 200, the biggest race of the season at Hampton, Virginia's Langley Speedway. Queen drove away from second-place finisher Connor Hall to take the win, lapping all the way up to sixth in the process. Queen beat Hall to the win by 0.887-second and takes over the top spot in the Virginia Triple Crown standings heading into the final race, the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway in September.

The second leg of the Virginia Triple Crown is ready to be contested this weekend at Langley Speedway, the easternmost track of the series. The middle leg is always the best indicator for who will be contending for the $7,000 prize in September, and some might say it’s the most challenging. After all, the Hampton Heat 200 is “America’s Hottest Race.”

The battle for this year’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series (NAAPWS) national championship had been a tight one all season long, but now we’re finally starting to see who the real contenders are. Three drivers are currently locked in a close fight, one of whom we expect to see slugging it out every single year.
