Ryan Newman found his way back to victory lane on Saturday night at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina. The 2008 Daytona 500 champion stood triumphantly with the victor's belt around his waist as the winner of the "Rumble in Rougemont" for the SMART Modified Tour.

The victory is the first of the season for the 2013 winner of the Brickyard 400. It is also the fourth time that Newman has claimed the coveted "SMARTy" trophy as winner of a SMART Modified Tour event. 

Newman took the lead on a late-race restart with a three-wide move on teenager Paulie Hartwig III and Michael Christopher Jr. Hartwig III finished second behind Newman, with Christopher Jr. finishing third, while Joey Coulter IV and defending champion Luke Baldwin completed the top five.

The SMART Modified Tour will be back in action on Saturday, April 12 at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina for the "Hickory Hundred." Fans can watch live on FloRacing by clicking here.
