Ron Silk topped a field of 29 Modifieds to claim his eighth career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory at the Thompson, CT oval.

This week, NASCAR’s oldest division looks to contest the “Icebreaker 150” at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. After being rained out and rescheduled twice, the third attempt at running the race will take place on Wednesday, April 16.

NASCAR and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park have postponed this weekend’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event due to a forecast of continued rain and cold temperatures forecasted for Sunday. The race has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 5. The start time will be announced at a later date.
