Kaden Honeycutt Scores A Hat Trick During Snowball Derby Preview
Kaden Honeycutt earned over a thousand dollars during Saturday's Snowball Derby Preview practice sessions at Five Flags Speedway.
Kaden Honeycutt collected a Snowball Derby Preview hat track during Saturday's open practice day at Five Flags Speedway. The 2024 CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion pulled off a clean sweep in three divisions to earn $1,050 ahead of the 57th Annual Snowball Derby presented by FloSports.
Honeycutt, who will drive full-time for Niece Motorsports during the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, swept fast time honors during the "money run" for the Super Late Model, Pro Late Model and Pro Truck divisions. The Willow Park, Texas native earned $500 for fast time honors in the Super Late Model division, $300 for the fastest lap in the Pro Late Model division and $250 for his quick lap in the Pro Truck division.

In the Super Late Model division, Honeycutt recorded a fast lap of 16.312 seconds around the Pensacola half-mile oval to beat out Jace Hansen, David Gilliland, Michael Scott and Joseph Meyer.
A fast time of 16.574 seconds in the Pro Late Model division was good enough for Honeycutt to take top honors over Jason Vail, Brandon Lopez, Dustin Smith and Jeremy Williams.
Honeycutt completed the three division sweep with a fast lap of 18.330 seconds in the Pro Truck division.
In addition to Honeycutt, Derrick Griffin (Modifieds of Mayhem), Gary Goodwin (Outlaws), B.J. Leytham (Sportsman) and Ely Loper (Pure Stocks) picked up $250 cash prizes for being the fastest driver in their respective divisions.
Following the conclusion of Saturday's practice sessions, the Crown Stock Derby 40 was held. Zachary Curtis captured his second straight Crown Stock Derby victory against a 30-car field.
Curtis finished third unofficially but ascended to the victory after both the winner and second-place finishers were disqualified in post-race technical inspection. Jay Jay Day’s win was tossed out because of an unapproved suspension modification while runner-up Chris Salter was DQ’d for unapproved aftermarket brake rotors.
