CARS Tour Postpones Race At Ace Speedway Due To Hurricane Debby
The CARS Tour doubleheader at Ace Speedway has been postponed one week to August 16 due to Hurricane Debby.
CARS Tour officials announced Tuesday morning that Friday’s doubleheader at North Carolina’s Ace Speedway has been postponed one week due to the expected impacts of Hurricane Debby.
The doubleheader for the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models will now be held on Friday, August 16th, with a practice day scheduled for Thursday, August 15th.
Hurricane Debby is expected to move slowly across North Carolina and into Virginia over the next few days, bringing torrential rain and potential flooding with it.

The decision to move the doubleheader at Ace Speedway to August 15 now presents a three-races-in-four weeks situation for the CARS Tour and their teams. Eight days after racing at Ace, the Late Model Stock teams will be back in action at the quarter-mile bullring that is Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 24. Then on August 30th both divisions will be in action at South Carolina’s Florence Motor Speedway. The Tour will have one week off before heading to Virginia for a trip to South Boston Speedway on September 14.
