Force, who has been in ICU since the crash on Sunday, was moved out of the trauma ICU to the neuro intensive care unit "where the medical team can focus on his head injury, which is their primary concern."
The team will head on to Norwalk for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park with a one-car entry with Funny Car points leader Austin Prock. Force's daughter and two-time NHRA Champion, Britney Force, will stay by her father's side and opt out of competition this weekend in her Top Fuel Dragster.
We will continue to update you as we get official information from John Force Racing.
