    Spencer Hyde entered the 2023 Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod as a relative unknown on the national Pro Modified scene. He had success in his native Canada, but his 2023 victory over Kurt Steding in the $100,000 final round put him on an international pedestal. He’s since continued to prove his driving prowess by picking up a PDRA Pro Boost win in one of the class’s toughest fields, and he’s climbed the ranks by competing in NHRA Top Fuel with the license he earned just days before his WSOPM win.
  4. Spencer Hyde Completes Process For NHRA Funny Car License

    Canadian Drag Racer, Spencer Hyde, completed his licensing process and becomes the most recent licensed NHRA Funny Car Driver. Head Racing and Spencer were one of a handful of teams that were at Gainesville Raceway for a pre-season test session this weekend. Head and Hyde attended this session with hopes of making enough successful passes to obtain a cross-over license. Hyde is already licensed and has competed in Top Fuel and Pro Mod, but had never driven a Funny Car before the test session began on Friday.
  5. Alexis DeJoria Joins JCM Racing For 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Series Season

    Alexis DeJoria is taking her talents to Joe Maynard’s JCM Racing team for the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, it was announced by both parties today. DeJoria will join Maynard’s multi-car operation where she will pilot the Bandero Premium Tequila Funny Car. DeJoria previously drove for Del Worsham and the DC Motorsports team where she advanced to the final round seven times including powering to victory at the 2021 Bristol, Tenn. event during the team’s run from 2020 through the 2024 season. Prior, she competed under the Kalitta Motorsports banner from 2011 through 2017.
  6. Spencer Hyde to Drive Funny Car for Jim Head Racing in 2025

    INDIANAPOLIS (December 13, 2024) --- Pro Mod standout Spencer Hyde will fill the open seat at Jim Head Racing for the entire NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series in 2025. The 33-year-old from Ontario, Canada, will immediately begin acclimating himself to the Ford Mustang Funny Car it was announced today from the NHRA on FOX stage at the PRI Show in Indianapolis. Hyde will make the requisite cross over passes to convert his Top Fuel license to Funny Car during the off-season. Last season Jim Head tuned his Funny Car to a win at Brainerd as well as seven additional semifinal finishes and seven top four qualifier spots.

    Eight years after winning his third NHRA Top Fuel world championship, Antron Brown secured his fourth NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series title Sunday afternoon during eliminations at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals. Brown eliminated two of the other four drivers in contention before winning his semifinal match to clinch the first world championship for AB Motorsports. He then went on to win the season finale at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, earning his 80th career Wally counting victories in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Top Fuel.
