The NASCAR All-Star Race will return to the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway for a second year in a row in 2024, and the CARS Tour will be part of the week’s festivities once again as well.

NASCAR and North Wilkesboro Speedway announced Thursday morning that the All-Star Race will take place on Sunday, May 19 at the North Carolina short track. The CARS Tour Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models will be in action on Tuesday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 15, according to Bob Pockrass on social media site 'X.'

NASCAR returned to North Wilkesboro Speedway this past May for the All-Star Race, which was won by Kyle Larson. It was the first time a Cup Series race was held at North Wilkesboro Speedway since 1996.

The CARS Tour raced at North Wilkesboro Speedway for the second year in a row this past May. The CARS Tour was the headlining event of the “Racetrack Revival” in 2022 that spearheaded the return to glory that North Wilkesboro Speedway is now experiencing. CARS Tour champion Carson Kvapil won that first race in 2022, which also featured Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the field. Brenden “Butterbean” Queen won the CARS Tour race there earlier this year.

North Wilkesboro Speedway officials also announced that the track will be repaved ahead of the 2024 racing events. It is the first time the track will be repaved since 1981. This weekend’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour “Brushy Mountain Powersports 150” will be the final race on the historic pavement.

CARS Tour tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on October 5th.
