Chase Briscoe Enters CARS Tour Race At North Wilkesboro Speedway
NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe will make his pavement Late Model debut with the CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 17.
NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe has been finding his way back to his short track roots on a semi-frequent basis over the last couple of years. His roots are firmly planted in the dirt track world, but on May 17 Briscoe will finally get behind the wheel of a Late Model on pavement when he runs the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car event at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Briscoe announced on his Twitter on Wednesday afternoon that he will be running the CARS Tour Window World 125 in a partnership with Chad Bryant Racing and his Stewart-Haas Racing sponsor, Rush Truck Centers. Briscoe will be in a third Chad Bryant Racing car with “Touring 12” drivers Mason Diaz and Connor Hall as teammates.
Briscoe’s history with Chad Bryant goes back to his days in the ARCA Menards Series. Bryant was Briscoe’s crew chief with the Cunningham Motorsports team when they won the ARCA Menards Series championship in 2016. Bryant bought the assets to the team before the start of the 2018 season. Since then Bryant has also moved into the Late Model Stock Car world.

The 125-lap race at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway will be Briscoe’s pavement Late Model debut.
Briscoe later tweeted on Wednesday that running a Late Model race with Bryant has been something that both of them have talked about for a long time and are now finally able to make happen.
Gonna be so fun to race with my good buddy @ChadBryantRace again, we haven’t been able to race together since our ARCA championship in 2016, this is something we’ve both talked about for a long time and something we’re both really excited to do. https://t.co/mXYRq9G7On pic.twitter.com/Kc6fjSzVE0

Briscoe isn’t the only driver with ties to the NASCAR Cup Series or Stewart-Haas Racing competing with the CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro Speedway. His SHR teammate and CARS Tour co-owner Kevin Harvick will also be in competition. Two-time Daytona 500 champion and CARS Tour co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also be racing for the second year in a row at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car Window World 125 and the CARS Tour Pro Late Model Crossroads Harley-Davidson 75 will take place on Wednesday, May 17. The night before will feature the Super Late Models of the ASA STARS National Tour on May 16 and is expected to be full of NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers like Ty Majeski, Grant Enfinger, and Carson Hocevar. Both nights of racing serve as the precursor to the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The ASA STARS National Tour ECMD 150 and the CARS Tour doubleheader on May 16 and 17 will be broadcast live exclusively on FloRacing. Race fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.
