The Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association Drag Racing Series kicks off its 2025 campaign this weekend, and you don’t want to miss a minute of the action from the GALOT Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina.

The Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association Drag Racing Series burst on to the scene in 2014 has continued to gain traction with drivers, car owners and fans alike, while offering a competitive stage for racers of all ages and skill levels.

The Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series is primed for its biggest season yet in its 11-season history, with large car counts, increased event and championship payouts, and fierce competition across the series’ professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster categories. It all starts this weekend at the Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech, April 2-5, at GALOT Motorsports Park. It’s the first of eight national events for the drivers and teams competing for nearly $200,000 in PDRA world championship prizes.

As the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series starts its 74th season in Gainesville, reigning Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle champions Greg Anderson and Gaige Herrera will be ready to defend their world championships against a pair of highly competitive fields at this weekend’s 56th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.

Reigning Pro Boost world champion Jason Harris raced to victory Sunday afternoon at the PDRA Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger at Virginia Motorsport Park. The win put an exclamation mark on the end of his second consecutive world championship season in WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive, as he secured the title earlier in the day. In the final round, Harris recorded a 3.595-second pass at 209.20 MPH to defeat Jason Lee and his 3.629 at 209.33.

The longstanding 3-second barrier in Extreme Pro Stock fell Friday night when Mountain Motor Pro Stock rookie Randi Lyn Butner recorded a 3.997-second, 176.37 MPH pass in the second qualifying session at the PDRA Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger. Butner’s pass down the Virginia Motorsports Park eighth mile with husband Bo Butner in the opposite lane marked the first official 3-second pass in Liberty’s Gears Extreme Pro Stock presented by AED Competition. Butner is also the provisional No. 1 qualifier at the last of eight races on the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour.

Major shakeups at the most recent race on the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour led to big moves at the top of the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous points standings with just one race left in the season. The top three drivers – Fredy Scriba, Jim Halsey, and Tommy Franklin – are separated by less than one round going into this weekend’s Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger, Oct. 17-20, at Virginia Motorsports Park. It’s just one of the numerous championship battles that will be decided in the series’ professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster categories.

For the first time in the 10-year history of the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series, the all-eighth-mile series will head to Tennessee’s Bristol Dragway this weekend for the Thunder Valley Throwdown. Set for Aug. 22-24, the Thunder Valley Throwdown is the sixth of eight championship events on the 2024 PDRA schedule. All 14 of the PDRA’s professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster divisions will be in competition at the legendary track known as “Thunder Valley.”

For the second consecutive year, the stars of the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series will take part in one of the most anticipated drag racing events in the Midwest. The PDRA Northern Nationals presented by Talbert Manufacturing, Aug. 1-3, will once again join forces with U.S. 131 Motorsports Park’s 23rd Northern Nationals presented by Gun Lake Casino. Along with the PDRA’s numerous professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster categories, the race weekend will feature modern Top Fuel dragsters, nostalgia front-engine Top Fuel, nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars, a Fuel Altered, jet cars and more.
