The Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association Drag Racing Series kicks off its 2025 campaign this weekend, and you don’t want to miss a minute of the action from the GALOT Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina.

The Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association Drag Racing Series burst on to the scene in 2014 has continued to gain traction with drivers, car owners and fans alike, while offering a competitive stage for racers of all ages and skill levels.

The Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series is primed for its biggest season yet in its 11-season history, with large car counts, increased event and championship payouts, and fierce competition across the series’ professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster categories. It all starts this weekend at the Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech, April 2-5, at GALOT Motorsports Park. It’s the first of eight national events for the drivers and teams competing for nearly $200,000 in PDRA world championship prizes.

Reigning Pro Boost world champion Jason Harris took over the points lead in WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive Saturday night when he earned his second consecutive win of the season. In a side-by-side 3.62-second final round against Todd “King Tut” Tutterow, Harris turned on the win light by five thousandths of a second to claim the ProFabrication PDRA DragWars presented by PST Driveshafts event win. It was a rematch of the final round at the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series season opener at GALOT Motorsports Park, as well as the first GALOT win for the Pittsboro, North Carolina, native.

It’s been just over one month since the last stop on the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour, so the professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster racers of the PDRA are eager to get back on track this weekend at the ProFabrication DragWars presented by PST Driveshafts, Oct. 3-5, at GALOT Motorsports Park. It’s the second GALOT race of the season, and as the penultimate race on the eight-race 2024 PDRA schedule, DragWars is a pivotal point in the battle for world championships.

The 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series season got off to a smooth start over the weekend at the Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech at GALOT Motorsports Park. Uncommonly good weather conditions and the usual PDRA and GALOT track surface provided racers with everything they needed to set records and go rounds throughout the weekend.

Longtime nitrous doorslammer racer Brian Shrader broke through to claim his first Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous victory Saturday night at the season-opening Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech at GALOT Motorsports Park. Pro Nitrous was guaranteed a first-time winner, as Shrader defeated Fredy Scriba in the final round at the first of eight championship points races on the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series schedule.

Derek Ward’s fast-paced start to the 2024 Pro Modified season continued Friday night when he lowered the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) Pro Boost elapsed time national record to qualify No. 1 at the Summit Racing Equipment East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech at GALOT Motorsports Park. Racing at the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series season opener, Ward recorded a 3.555-second pass at 211.76 MPH in the final qualifying session to set the record and claim his first No. 1 qualifier award in WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive.

The 11th season of the Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racing Series (PDRA) kicks off this weekend from GALOT Motorsports Park with the PDRA East Coast Nationals. The most exciting Pro Mod racing in the country leads the pack of other classes like Extreme Pro Stock, Pro Street, Outlaw 632, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Motorcycles, Junior Dragsters and more. The three-day event consists of test and tune on Thursday, qualifying on Friday and final eliminations on Saturday.

Although this race marks the official season opener for the series, Ensslin and team attended the much anticipated Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod earlier in March. After a not so covetous showing there, the team went back home and disassembled the entire drivetrain from the firewall back to try and find an answer as to why their performance wasn’t up to their standards they set for the team.

The PDRA season will kick off this weekend at Galot Motorsports Park with the East Coast Nationals.

Clayton Murphy, owner of Chassis Engineering, announced today he is making the move to Mountain Motor Pro Stock. Murphy is once again teaming up with Daryl Stewart as the driver to compete full-time in the PDRA’s Extreme Pro Stock class.
