Before Sunday’s Super Late Model race at New Smyrna Speedway, it had been a little while since Stephen Nasse had visited victory lane. His last win came at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on June 4th last year. By Stephen Nasse’s standards, that winless streak lasted an eternity. But after 35 laps, it finally came to an end.

LAKE CITY, FL – The final night of the ‘Sunshine Swing’ at All-Tech Raceway was canceled due to persistent showers beginning in the late afternoon and continuing into the evening.

Speedway, Indiana - Kevin Olson, the one-of-a-kind racecar driver and one-of-a-kind personality who raced to two USAC National Midget championships in 1982 and 1987, passed away following a car accident on Friday night, February 11, 2022, in Janesville, Wis.  He was 70 years old.

LAKE CITY, FL – Michael Maresca fought off early challenges from Rick Laubach and then later from Larry Wight and Erick Rudolph to etch his name in the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco record book with a $6,000 triumph on night three of the Sunshine Swing at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla.

There’s a reason why Brad May has won the Super Late Model track championship at New Smyrna Speedway numerous times. In case anyone forgot that May is quite strong at the Florida half-mile, May reminded everyone on Friday night, dominating the 35-lap opener to the World Series of Asphalt.
