NASCAR Cup Champion Logano Wins Fall Brawl At Hickory As A Spotter
NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano traded in his steering wheel for a radio when he served as Coleman Pressley's spotter at the Fall Brawl at Hickory
What do you do when you’re one week removed from your second NASCAR Cup Series championship? Do you go to Las Vegas and party it up, or maybe grab the kids and head down to Walt Disney World? Well, if you’re Joey Logano, the answer is none of those things, but instead you head to Hickory Motor Speedway and serve as a spotter for a Late Model race.
Flipping roles tonight. Currently spotting for @ColemanPressley at @hickoryspeedway

To be clear, Logano wasn’t spotting just because. Logano was spotting for Coleman Pressley, who serves as Logano’s spotter on Sundays in the Cup Series. It was a cool little role-reversal for Logano and Pressley who scored four Cup victories in 2022 including the season-opening exhibition Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and the NASCAR Cup Series championship.
Logano and Pressley got pretty accustomed to winning this season, and Saturday’s Late Model Stock Car “Fall Brawl 200” at Hickory was no different. Pressley took the lead with just a handful of laps remaining, and held on during a green-white-checkered restart to take the victory.

Saturday’s race was the first start for Pressley in any car in seven years, making the victory that much more impressive, and that much sweeter.
And for Logano, it just shows what that he’s more than just a race car driver, but he’s a true racer and a good friend too. He could have been doing anything six days after winning the Cup Series title, but he chose to be at a Saturday night short track race spotting for his friend.
