La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway Joins FloRacing Broadcast Schedule
NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series events at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway will be streamed live on FloRacing in 2022.
Short track racing and the state of Wisconsin go together like red on a rose. Now, race fans around the world will be able to enjoy one of the Badger State’s most historic race tracks live on FloRacing.
La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, a 5/8-mile oval located in West Salem, has joined FloRacing’s live broadcast schedule. All of the track’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series action will be streamed live in 2022.
Originally built as a half-mile dirt track in 1957, the track was paved in 1970 before becoming Wisconsin’s first NASCAR track in 1989. Since that time, La Crosse has been the home track for NASCAR state, regional, divisional and national champions.
“Holy Smokes! We are so excited to be a part of the FloRacing family and bring the great racing action of LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway to race fans all over the country,” said track manager Chuck Deery. “Now, fans who may have never been able to attend one of our shows, or fans that cannot make the show in person, will have access to the awesome talent of our race teams and see the close and action-packed racing we have each week.”
Weekly racing action at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway is headlined by the popular NASCAR Late Model division. Sportsmen, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Six Shooters and Hornets are among the other divisions that compete regularly at the track.
Adding a historic short track racing facility like La Crosse to the FloRacing broadcast schedule is another step taken by NASCAR and FloRacing to strengthen their investment into grassroots motorsports.
“We’re excited to welcome storied La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway to FloRacing,” said Dan Barker, managing director, direct to consumer strategy. “We strive to bring our fans the best short tracking racing in the world and La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway helps us fulfill that mission.”
The first live broadcast from La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway on FloRacing will take place during the track’s NASCAR season opener on May 14. Twelve NASCAR events are currently on the 2022 racing schedule, including four nights of twin features for the Late Model division.
La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway joins a growing list of NASCAR-sanctioned tracks that will be broadcast live on FloRacing this season. That list already includes Bowman Gray Stadium, Autodrome Granby, Meridian Speedway, Evergreen Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway, Riverhead Raceway, South Boston Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway, Berlin Raceway, Jennerstown Speedway, Langley Speedway, and All American Speedway.
FloRacing is also the home of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, ARCA Menards Series (11 events), ARCA Menards Series East, ARCA Menards Series West and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
