To get you ready for this week's event, we've assembled a breakdown of the race format, event schedule and more need-to-know information about the 2025 Modified World Championship.

Modified World Championship Format

Wednesday Format

  • Practice & Qualifying for Modifieds only.
  • Five groups with 40 cars maximum in each group.
  • Qualifying will be contested for both Thursday and Friday night's preliminary features.

Thursday/Friday Format

  • 10-lap heats with lineups determined from qualifying on Wednesday.
  • 10 heats (Odd numbered heats racing for Feature A and even numbered heats racing for Feature B).
  • Top 3 in each heat advance to Thursday's Feature A/B.
  • 2 B-Mains each for A/B Feature (Top 4 advance from each B-Main to Feature A/B).
  • B-Mains will be 12 laps (Could be adjusted based on car counts).
  • All A & B Features will be 30 laps.
  • Top 5 from Feature A & B are locked into Saturday A-Main (10 total drivers).
  • Drivers that finish in the top five of Feature A & B may throw out their Thursday night finish and run again on Friday but if you throw out Thursday night finish, you cannot revert back to it.
  • Friday show will be a repeat of Thursday’s show less top five cars from each of Thursday’s features.
  • By the end of Thursday and Friday, 20 cars will be locked into Saturday’s A-Main. Remaining 10 cars will come from B-Main.

Saturday Format

  • 20 cars will be locked following Thursday and Friday's features.
  • The remaining cars will run in alphabet soup
  • All four winners from Thursday and Friday will redraw for top four feature spots and all second-place cars from Thursday and Friday will redraw for spots 5-8.
  • The remaining 12 cars that were locked in will be lined straight up for A-Main.
  • All non-qualified drivers after Thursday/Friday will line up in alphabet soup based on their best points night from Thursday/Friday. Points are only accumulated during Features or B-Mains from Thursday/Friday.
  • Top 12 cars advance in each alphabet soup race except for the B-Main. The B-Main will transfer the top 10 finishers to the A-Main.
  • Alphabet soup will start with the I-Main.
  • All Alphabet soup races will be 15 laps except for B-Main will be 20 (Laps could be adjusted based on car counts).
