After a few months of hibernation during the winter months, 410 Sprint Cars are ready to come out and play this weekend in the state of Pennsylvania. The first green flag of the 2025 season in PA Posse country is scheduled to wave this Sunday during the traditional Icebreaker event at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA.
Originally scheduled as a two-day event, a poor weather forecast has forced track officials to adjust the event to a one-day show on Sunday.
410 Sprint Cars will race 30 laps for $6,000 to win. As is tradition at the Icebreaker event, the popular 410 Sprints will be the only division in action.
Many of the region's top drivers are expected to compete in the race. Drivers expected to be in attendance include defending Icebreaker winner and track champion Troy Wagaman, four-time track champion Freddie Rahmer and "Double D" Danny Dietrich. Chase Dietz, Justin Whittall and Brock Zearfoss are among the drivers who have announced their plans to compete in the event via their social media channels.
The winner of the Icebreaker has gone on to win the Lincoln Speedway track championship during the last three seasons. Freddie Rahmer pulled off the feat in 2022 and 2023 before Troy Wagaman secured the Icebreaker win and track championship last season.
Pits are scheduled to open at 12:30 p.m. ET, with grandstands opening at 1 p.m. and racing beginning at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Kids 11 and under receive free grandstand admission. Pit passes will be available for $35.
