The 2025 Chili Bowl Nationals have been nothing but exceptionally entertaining. With five-time Golden Driller champion Sammy Swindell, fan-favorite Chili Bowl faithful Robert Bell and numerous NASCAR drivers like Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell, plenty of action has unfolded in Tulsa.

But, one of the most anticipated moments of the 2025 Nationals was the Chili Bowl debut of NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Busch.

On Friday, Jan. 17, Busch was set to hit the dirt for his third career start in a Midget.

He did not disappoint in his heat race, earning enough passing points to put him in third place out of the 83 drivers competing Friday night.

Busch rallied in his first race on Saturday, advancing to the E-Main of the day. But due to a deep-positioned start, Busch struggled to pass enough drivers to move on, ending his debut weekend.

With his weekend over, here's everything to know about how Kyle Busch did in the 2025 Chili Bowl Nationals.

After an impressive weekend of races, Kyle Busch's Chili Bowl Nationals debut has come to an end.

In just his third start in a midget, Busch was able to earn 118 passing points in his preliminary heat race. But struggles in the Friday qualifiers and B-Main placed Busch in the gauntlet of the alphabet soup races on Saturday.

Busch's Chili Bowl weekend may be over, but he'll return to the tracks once again for the NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium and the Daytona 500 in February.

Kyle Busch Speeds To Third Place In F-Main To Move Forward To E-Main

Despite struggles on Friday evening, Kyle Busch put on a dominant performance in the Saturday F-Main, securing third place after an eighth-place start. Busch controlled second for the majority of the race, but took a rough turn near the end and dropped a place.

Even with a drop to third, Busch moves on to the E-Main. He'll start in 18th place in E-Main 2, where he will need to finish fifth or above to transfer to the D-Main.

Kyle Busch Finishes Seventh In B-Main, Will Face Alphabet Soup Saturday

Busch's struggles from his previous qualifier seemed to get the best of him once again, as a tough race lands him in seventh place after starting in first.

Busch kept up a good pace in the first few laps of the race before being overtaken by a number of racers who were on his tail.

Despite his best efforts, this lands Busch in Saturday's alphabet soup races, where he will again race for a second chance.

Kyle Busch Fades From Fourth, Finishes Seventh In Qualifier

Kyle Busch started his qualifier on Friday evening in fourth position, but a struggle with racers around his position ended in his seventh-place finish. Busch was beat out on a number of turns, made worse by a few drifts just off the edge of the track.

Busch's finish will send him to a B-Main race later in the evening, where he will get another chance to make the A feature of the night. He will start in first in the first B-Main of the night, where he must finish fourth or higher to qualify for tonight's A feature.

In just the third heat of the night, Kyle Busch lived up to the excitement of his Chili Bowl Nationals debut by ripping by five racers to finish in second place after starting in seventh.

This immaculate display of technique earned Busch 118 passing points, placing him as the third overall driver in the series. Busch sits behind two-time reigning champ Logan Seavey (128 passing points) and Ryan Timms (120 passing points).

Busch will return for another race Friday evening in Qualifier 3 to determine his starting position in either the B-Main or A-Main.
