Three drivers were disqualified from the 2025 Tulsa Shootout for tire doping on the final day of racing on Jan. 4.

The news broke after random tire samples were collected and tested, and five of them did not conform to the benchmark.

This is one of the two guaranteed ways to get disqualified, the other being fighting, which can be entertaining at times.

However, a potential question could be, what exactly is tire doping? The simple definition would be that it is the use of chemicals to alter the appearance, characteristics, or longevity to gain a competitive advantage.

When drivers race on a dirt track, it can be tough for them to move as they would on pavement, which could be the primary motive for why these drivers attempted to take these measures.
