The 2024 Gateway Dirt Nationals began on Dec.5 and will occur through Dec. 7. This year's races will feature a stacked lineup of elite drivers at one of the most unique dirt tracks in the world. 

During this event, over 150 drivers will compete between the Super Late Model and the Open Wheel Modified divisions. 

Of course, the most prominent aspect of this national race is the main event for Super Late Models on Saturday that will crown a $30,000 winner.

Where Is The Gateway Dirt Nationals?

The Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals take place at The Dome At America's Center. This stadium in St. Louis, MO, is the former home of the NFL's St. Louis Rams before they subsequently moved west and became the Los Angeles Rams.

The Dome is located in downtown St. Louis, and holds more than 67,277 spectators. 

The Gateway Dirt Nationals debuted at The Dome in 2016. 

What Is The Gateway Dirt Nationals Track Size?

The temporary dirt track at the Dome at America's Center is a 1/5-mile long. It is the largest indoor dirt oval track.

  • 11 a.m. - Registration and credentials office opens
  • 12 p.m. - Pits open, technical inspection begins
  • 2 p.m. - Drivers’ meeting, fuel storage opens
  • 3 p.m. - Grandstands open
  • 4 p.m.- On-track activity
    • Late Model hot laps
    • Late Model time trials (2 laps)
    • Modified group qualifying
  • 6 p.m.- Opening ceremonies
    • Late Model heats (8 laps)
    • Modified heats (8 laps)
    • Consolation races: Late Models (10 laps); Modifieds (8 laps)
    • Features: Late Models (25 laps); Modifieds (20 laps)

2024 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals Tickets

Plan on being in the St. Louis area and want to catch the Gateway Dirt Nationals action in person?

Who Won The 2023 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals? 

Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Illinois, earned his first Gateway triumph in the Super Late Model division. Drake Troutman picked up the win in the Modified division.
