Thunder Road Speedbowl Reveals 2025 Schedule

Thunder Road International Speedbowl officials have revealed the full 2025 schedule for the Nation's Site of Excitement.

Barre, VT — Thunder Road Speedbowl officials released the 2025 schedule for the Nation’s Site of Excitement on Thursday morning. The schedule will once again include 21 individual events beginning with the 27th annual Community Bank 150 on May 3-4 and concluding with the 63rd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on October 4-5.

The 27th annual Community Bank 150 for the American-Canadian Tour will once again open the season at Thunder Road on Sunday, May 4, preceded by the annual Thunder Road Car Show and open practice day on Saturday, May 3. The Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic returns for its 62nd edition on Sunday, May 25 complete with the 4th annual Granite City 100 for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series.

For the second time, the Memorial Day Classic 125 for the Maplefield/Irving Oil Late Models will kick-start the Squier Cup Triple Crown, with the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 presented by the Vermont Lottery on Thursday, July 17 serving as Round #2 and will fittingly end with the championship 100-lap event on WDEV/Calkin’s Portable Toilet Night, complete with Ken Squier’s fan-favorite Port-a-Potty Grand Prix on Thursday, July 31. 

Thunder Road’s world famous Thursday Night Racing begins with McGee Hyundai Super Thursday on June 5 with support from the regional New England Supermodified Series. June 12 brings Casella Waste Systems Night complete with the New England Antique Racers (NEAR), Marvin Johnson Memorial Non-Winner’s Race for the rk Miles Street Stocks and all Scouts in uniform will be admitted free. 

June also hosts the first round in the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers on June 19. The Myers Container Triple Crown is back in action on July 10’s Vermont Construction Night before crowning its ninth champion with Cody Chevrolet/Cadillac 100 on August 21.

The month of June rounds out with the 2nd annual Superstars of Thunder Road Double Feature Night presented by Community College of Vermont on June 26 with fan-favorite Kids Rides also on the agenda. Speaking of fan-favorite, Preston’s Kia presents the Independence Day Spectacular on July 3 with Central Vermont’s biggest fireworks display courtesy of Northstar Fireworks. July will also feature the all-important Times Argus Midseason Championships on Thursday, July 24 that includes extra distance, double point showdowns and the annual autograph session. All features will also feature a double purse courtesy of FloRacing.

August kicks off with the always thrilling Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200 on August 3. ‘The People’s Race’ will once again award $3,000 to the winner and features the annual 50-lap rk Miles Street Stock Special! The Street Stocks will once again compete in their own Triple Crown starting on WDEV/Calkins Night, followed by the Bolduc Metal Special and wrapping up on Thursday, August 7 alongside the 7th annual Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warrior Challenge.

Vermont Tire & Service Night on Thursday, August 14 will once again include the FloRacing Double Purse for all divisions along with the return of the Kid’s Poster Contest and all Vermont Black Bears Hockey Players in uniform will be admitted free. Jet Service Envelope and Accura Printing Night on Thursday, August 28 hosts the infamous Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags just before the American-Canadian Tour returns for the 47th Labor Day Classic presented by EastRise Credit Union on Sunday, August 31. The New England Pro-4 Modifieds will also return for the Labor Day weekend festivities. 

The month of September brings the new Flying Tiger $2,000 to win, 100-lap Showdown on Thursday, September 11 with Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel presenting the 66th Thunder Road Championship Night on Thursday, September 18 complete with a Northstar Fireworks display.

The 2025 season officially wraps up with the 63rd Vermont Milk Bowl on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5. Booth Bros/Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 4 will feature time trials for the American-Canadian Tour Late Models as they hunt for the $1,000 Booth Bros./Hood Pole Award, followed by the Triple 50 Heat Races, each paying $4,300 through the top-ten finishers, and a second visit from the New England Supermodified Series. Sunday brings the granddaddy of them all, the 63rd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank complete with Mini Milk Bowls for the Flying Tigers, Street Stocks and Road Warriors throughout the weekend.

“We’re all set up for another action-packed season in 2025,” said Thunder Road managing partner Cris Michaud. “We’re continuing to build on all our fan-favorite events, adding a couple new spins on the year and expecting another great season up on Quarry Hill.”

Year 65 has been officially completed at Thunder Road International Speedbowl. Officials have finalized updates on the 2025 rules packages, which will be released next week. 2025 Thunder Road Season Passes and Official Apparel are available for pre-order as we move into the Holiday Season and will begin shipment next week.
