For the 59th time, one of the most prestigious Super Late Model races will take place this weekend. It’s the Florida Governor’s Cup weekend at New Smyrna Speedway, and we have everything you need to know, from the entry list to the schedule of events for the two-day weekend, and much more.

What Is The Florida Governor’s Cup?

The Florida Governor’s Cup is a 200-lap Super Late Model race that takes place at New Smyrna Speedway, the same track that hosts nine consecutive nights of racing in February known as the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

The Florida Governor’s Cup has been held at New Smyrna Speedway every year since 1988. The only year the event was not held was 2022 due to the flood and wind damages the track received during Hurricane Ian. Before that, the event had taken place at Golden Gate Speedway, and Showtime Speedway.

How To Watch Florida Governor’s Cup At New Smyrna

The Florida Governor’s Cup will be streamed live on FloRacing exclusively to FloRacing subscribers for the second year in a row. FloRacing will carry both days of racing action on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.

What Divisions Are Racing At The Florida Governor’s Cup?

The Florida Governor’s Cup race itself is a 200-lap Super Late Model race, which are the same cars raced at events such as the Snowball Derby, Winchester 400, and the Battle at Berlin.

But there are other divisions in action on Saturday and Sunday, including Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Mod Minis, Pro Trucks, and Sportsman.

Florida Governor’s Cup Schedule of Events

The Florida Governor’s Cup is a two-day event at New Smyrna Speedway tacking place on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10. The Pro Late Model, Modified, Mod Mini, and Pro Truck divisions are all in action on Saturday. The 200-lap Florida Governor’s Cup Super Late Model race will take place on Sunday afternoon, along with a 35-lap Sportsman race.
