A new tradition will begin at the Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals this December. For the first time in event history, FloRacing has teamed up with event organizers to present a Best Appearing Car Award for both the Super Late Model and Modified divisions.

Each year, drivers and teams arrive at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis with unique paint schemes that embody the spirit of the event. Now, the winners of the Best Appearing Car Award will be rewarded for their efforts. 

FloRacing and the Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals have teamed up to offer a $1,000 prize to the winner in both divisions. 

Voting for the Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals Best Appearing Car Award will begin on FloRacing on Friday, December 6 once every car in both divisions is presented for competition. Voting will conclude on Sunday, December 7 and the winner will be announced on FloRacing and Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals social media channels on Monday, December 8. 

Prior to the fan vote, a panel of FloRacing and Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals officials will determine the top 10 cars in each division that will be eligible for the award. From there, the results will be up to the fans to decide. 

Fans will be able to visit FloRacing and vote up to four times a day once voting begins. 

Photo galleries of the eligible cars will be published on FloRacing.com, as well as FloRacing and Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals social media channels. 

The 2024 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals begin Thursday, December 5 with the opening night of preliminary action. A second night of prelim racing will be held on Friday, December 6 leading into the main event on Saturday, December 7.
