Spencer Bayston, CJB Motorsports Part Ways Following 2024 Season
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports announced on social media that they have mutually parted ways following the 2024 season.
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports have announced they are parting ways following the conclusion of the Kubota High Limit Racing season last weekend. The team posted on the social media site “X” that they have mutually agreed to part ways.
Bayston, from Lebanon, Indiana, has been racing for the team since 2022 and together they earned wins at Bristol Motor Speedway, Huset’s Speedway, Port Royal Speedway and more. Bayston finished eighth in points two years in a row with the World of Outlaws in 2022 and 2023, and finished eighth in points in High Limit Racing’s inaugural season in 2024.
“Racing winged Sprint Cars full-time on a national level was something I always dreamt of as a kid,” said Bayston in a statement. “Chad, Barry, and everyone at CJB Motorsports were the first team to provide me with that opportunity, and I will be forever grateful for them investing into my career. I have learned so much over the last three years about this industry and what it takes to compete on a professional level."

“I was fortunate to have had the chance to spend three years with Barry (Jackson) as my crew chief. Having Barry in my corner has helped my progression as a driver and competitor. Experiencing his passion and knowledge for the sport is something everyone could benefit by, and I feel fortunate to have had the chance to work with someone as talented as him. I would like to thank all of our fans for their support on the No. 5 car these last three years and want to wish everyone at CJB the best of luck in their future endeavors.”
Team owner and crew chief Barry Jackson said in a statement that he wishes nothing but the best for Bayston in the rest of his career.
“We’ve been fortunate to have Spencer as part of our team for the past three years,” said Jackson. “His dedication and drive on and off the track have contributed greatly to our success. His victory at Bristol and the honor of being named Rookie of the Year in 2022 were particularly proud moments for our organization. We appreciate everything Spencer has brought to the table and wish him nothing but the best in the next chapter of his racing career.”
Neither Bayston or CJB have announced their future plans at the moment, but Bayston did take to social media to say that he is “forever thankful for these last three years.”
