Kyle Larson Responds To Comment About Sprint Car Team's Finances
Kyle Larson issued an entertaining response Tuesday afternoon to a fan's comment about his Sprint Car team's finances.
Kyle Larson didn't pull any punches when responding to a fan's comments about his Sprint Car team's finances on Tuesday afternoon. Larson, who is fresh off three Sprint Car victories in four nights, used his X (formerly Twitter) account in an attempt to clarify that the No. 57 Paul Silva-owned Sprint Car team is not operating on a limitless budget.
The exchange on X began when MRN's Dave Moody shared highlights of Larson's Front Row Challenge win on Monday evening with the words "Let's just be clear. @KyleLarsonRacin could win in a shopping cart."
A fan then responded to Moody by saying, "When you’re able to spend the kind of money he has, I would sure hope so."
That's when Larson dug in to offer an entertaining and informative response.
Good afternoon @RobsSportsShow. Heres a glimpse into our budget. This is car owner @Paul_Silva57 dumpster diving for parts to save a tiny bit of money. And oh btw we won on another teams used tires the last 3 races. 🫠https://t.co/CvHvCCmOpq pic.twitter.com/jOvc5r5RFa

The video posted by Larson shows Silva salvaging some viable wing tree parts for the 57 from a dumpster "to save a tiny bit of money." He also emphasized the frugality of a team that won three races in four nights on another team's used tires.
In addition to Larson's Front Row Challenge win at Southern Iowa Speedway on Monday, Larson also picked up a pair of World of Outlaws Sprint Car victories at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 over the weekend.

Larson and Silva's recent success comes at the perfect time as the team prepares to defend their Knoxville Nationals victory this week at Knoxville Raceway. Overall, Larson now has six Sprint Car victories this season, including three wins with High Limit Racing.
