Brenden "Butterbean" Queen Wires CARS Tour Field At Tri-County Speedway
Brenden "Butterbean" Queen scored his first victory of the 2024 CARS Tour season by leading all 125 laps at Tri-County Speedway.
If you’ve ever wondered whether momentum in motorsports is a real thing, look no further than Brenden “Butterbean” Queen’s CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car victory on Saturday night at Tri-County Speedway.
Fresh off a fourth-place finish in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at North Wilkesboro Speedway a week ago that brought the crowd to its feet, Queen and his Lee Pulliam Performance team finally had everything go their way for the first time in 2024. They were fast in practice on Friday evening, fast in practice on Saturday morning, and won their second pole of the season as well.
But unlike New River All-American Speedway last month where he started from the top spot and failed to stay there at the end, this time Queen made sure they’d be there at the end. Queen led all 125 laps on Saturday night to secure his first victory of the season and climb back into the thick of the championship battle by having his first max-points night of the season.
Saturday night’s win is the second in a row for Queen at Tri-County Speedway. He also led all 125 laps there last October.
Now Queen turns his attention to Langley Speedway on June 1 where he should be able to keep the good times rolling. Langley is his home race track, a track where he’s a three-time champion and a two-time winner in the Hampton Heat 200, the track’s biggest race.
As we said, momentum is real and Queen is proving it.
