Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors invade Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., for the 32nd annual Show-Me 100, the state’s richest Late Model event and longtime Memorial Day weekend tradition.

Ricky Thornton Jr. used a late-race restart to slide by Garrett Alberson and led the final two laps to win Thursday’s $10,000 Cowboy Classic opener.

Heat winner Jonathan Davenport started on the tail because he switched to a backup car; he finished ninth.

Mike Marlar also dropped to the rear at the start because he presented his car in staging with an unapproved tire

The lone caution appeared for runner-up Chad Simpson's turn-two spin with three laps remaining.
