Entry List: Sprint Cars Star Ready For Big Battle In Australia
Some of the biggest names in Sprint Car racing will be competing in the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway.
The biggest Sprint Car race down under kicks off this weekend at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway in Warrnambool, Australia for the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic. Preliminary night rosters have been released for Friday and Saturday night’s racing ahead of the crowning of a champion on Sunday, January 21, with over 100 confirmed entries for the three-day show.
The Americans leading the way on the Friday preliminary night include the likes of former Chili Bowl Nationals champion and High Limit racer Rico Abreu, former All Star Circuit of Champions champion Aaron Reutzel, along with ASCoC and World of Outlaws winner Cory Eliason and Knoxville Raceway competitors Riley Goodno and Chase Randall.
A familiar name in the United States, Kerry Madsen returns to his home country to a race that he has won on three occasions. Fellow countrymen set to race on Friday night include former race winners Jamie Veal, Corey McCullagh and defending race winner Brock Hallett.
Saturday night’s preliminary night is led by World of Outlaws star Sheldon Haudenschild, who returns to Warrnambool with retribution on his mind after he was passed for the win on the last lap the year before. He is joined by fellow World of Outlaws regulars Carson Macedo and Brock Zearfoss, High Limit driver Justin Peck and California racer Kalib Henry.
World of Outlaws regular and two-time Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic winner James McFadden leads the home country contingent on Saturday night, along with former winner Lockie McHugh. Australian stars Callum Williamson and Jock Goodyer are also scheduled to go Friday night, both looking for their first wins in the event.
Preliminary night rosters for both Friday and Saturday night can be viewed at the bottom of this story.
The Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic kicks off Friday night, January 19 at 5:15 p.m. local time/1:15 a.m. ET here in the United States. Three days of racing culminates with the $50,000 (AUS) to win A-Feature on Sunday, January 21.
All three nights of racing will be broadcasted live on FloRacing. Replays will also be available to watch following each night of racing. If you're not a FloRacing subscriber, click here to sign up today.
