Who's Racing Friday At The Chili Bowl? Here's The Chilli Bowl Entry List
Breaking down the entry list for Friday's Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The fifth and final preliminary program runs Friday at the Chili Bowl Nationals as we finalize the 10 lock-in drivers and Saturday’s alphabet soup lineups.
After waiting all week, defending champion Logan Seavey and Swindell SpeedLab finally get their turn tonight. The reigning champions dominated Monday’s Race of Champions together, but now is the real test as they try to win back-to-back Friday night preliminary A-Mains. Seavey’s biggest threat is Justin Grant, a winner in five of the last seven Friday’s at Chili Bowl. Driving the NOS Energy Drink No. 2J, JG will try to make it back-to-back preliminary wins for RMS Racing after Spencer Bayston won Thursday.

It’s not one, not two, not three, but four strong entries for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports tonight. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the Daytona 500 champion and eight-time Chili Bowl Championship A-Main starter, was the surprise entrant in the NOS Energy Drink No. 71R. He’ll join Emerson Axsom, Ryan Timms, and Gavin Miller from the KKM camp tonight.
2006 Chili Bowl champion Tim McCreadie will race for Hayward Motorsports as he looks to put it in the big dance for a second-straight year. Andrew Felker is going for his 15th consecutive preliminary A-Main start driving his own AFD Graphix No. 11A. Kaylee Bryson will run a second Sammy Swindell entry as she chases a third-straight Championship A-Main start.
Chad Boat will bring Bryant Wiedeman to battle tonight as the fifth and final CB Industries car. After locking-in last night, Tanner Thorson will switch back to crew chief as he helps Ace McCarthy in Friday’s prelim. Jason McDougal, a three-time Tulsa Shootout champion, will run tonight with Australian car owner Travis White.
Matt Wood Racing will put their perfect top-10 streak on the line as Daryn Pittman rounds out the lethal five-car stable tonight. Jerry Coons Jr.'s son Cale Coons is running the Dooling No. 63, making his Chili Bowl debut this evening.
Hayden Reinbold is the fifth and final car for Reinbold/Underwood Motorsports, hoping for a new Chili Bowl career-best. Hunter Schuerenberg makes his 17th attempt in Tulsa tonight as he returns with JFM.
Other notables in the field include Steven Snyder Jr, Jace Park, Chris Andrews, Robbie Gardner, Shane Cottle, Sam Johnson, Santino Ferruci, and more.

Why Is It Called The Chili Bowl?
The Chili Bowl Nationals were started back in 1987 by Lanny Edwards and Emmett Hahn. The two promoters partnered with “The Chili Bowl Company" owned by the Berryhill family. Edwards and Hahn decided to name the event after the company.
“My father bought into a restaurant on 11th street (in Tulsa),” said Bob Berryhill. “And it was called the Chili Bowl.”
Eventually, the Berryhill family took the Original Chili Bowl restaurant and turned it into a company that sold their chili in grocery stores.
