The 2024 Chili Bowl Nationals kicked off on Monday night with the opening round of preliminary action. A night that began with a field of 68 drivers ended with one driver in victory lane and two drivers earning a starting spot in Saturday's main event. 

Tanner Carrick claimed his second career Monday night preliminary feature win, while Shane Golobic finished second to lock into the big show on Saturday.
