Tony Stewart Reveals His Favorite Race Car And Track Combination
Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart revealed what kind of car is his favorite and what track is his favorite for racing that type of car.
If you know Tony Stewart, you know that he will race anything with wheels and an engine. This is a man that has raced three different generations of NASCAR Cup cars, Midgets, Sprint Cars (winged and non-winged), Silver Crown cars, IndyCars, and now will be running a full season in a Top Fuel dragster in 2024. But which car is his favorite? And what track is his favorite at which to race it?
Fortunately for us, Stewart just answered that question on social media, and the answer might surprise you.
For so long Stewart talked about how the Indianapolis 500 is his favorite race and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was the track that meant the most to him as he grew up in nearby Columbus, Indiana. But apparently an IndyCar at IMS is not Stewart’s favorite car and track combination.
It’s also apparently not a winged 410 Sprint Car at Eldora Speedway, which would have been another logical guess as Stewart used to own the All Stars Circuit of Champions series and is the owner of Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.

Instead, Stewart said his favorite car to race is a Midget. And his favorite track to race it at is the Tulsa Expo Raceway at the Chili Bowl Nationals.
And even though that might not have been many people’s first guess, it shouldn’t really be a surprise either. Stewart raced the Chili Bowl 14 times throughout his career from 1993 to 2013. Stewart won the Chili Bowl twice in 2002 and 2007, and he made the Saturday A-Main 12 times. And there were also a few years where Stewart still attended the Chili Bowl and helped the track prep crew each day as a volunteer.
“That track is suited perfectly for those cars and creates a lot of excitement,” said Stewart in a video posted on social media. “When your car is right it is a blast around there. So that is still my favorite car and my favorite track.”
When Is Chili Bowl 2024?
