The Wild West Shootout kicks off on Saturday, January 6 and continues through Sunday, January 14 at Vado Speedway Park.  Six feature events will be held across the nine-day span, with five of them paying $11,000 to win and the finale paying $26,000.

On Tuesday, the Wild West Shootout Facebook page revealed a graphic that included a list of drivers you can expect to be in action during this year's event.

2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson returns to the Wild West Shootout for the second-straight year, his first time in a Dirt Late Model since early June when he competed in a World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Tri-City Speedway. Larson will be seeking his first career Wild West Shootout win after coming up empty handed a year ago.

Speaking of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, defending series champion Bobby Pierce is scheduled to be at the Wild West Shootout.  “The Smooth Operator” won the Wild West Shootout title in 2017, and he won the finale last season.

Former Wild West Shootout champions Brandon Sheppard and Mike Marlar are back looking to add another championship to their accolades.  A 2024 Wild West Shootout title for Sheppard would be his third, which would be most all-time in the event.

Stormy Scott returns home to New Mexico for six nights of racing just 16 miles south of his native Las Cruces.  He is joined by past Wild West Shootout feature winners Garrett Alberson, Tyler Erb and Ricky Weiss.

A full list of drivers expected to compete in the 2024 Wild West Shootout can be viewed at the bottom of this story.

There will be an open practice nights on Friday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 9 for race teams.  Racing starts on Saturday, January 6 and will go through Sunday, January 14.  They will be joined by Modifieds and X-Mods on all six nights.  All three series will compete for a mini-series championship and points fund.

If a driver can win all six Dirt Track Bank Super Late Model features, he or she will receive a $300,000 bonus as part of the Penske Racing Shocks $300,000 Paydirt Jackpot.

The bonus program also includes a $100,000 incentive for five wins and a $25,000 bonus for four miniseries victories at the state-of-the-art New Mexico oval.  A Super Late Model driver able to sweep the week by winning five $11,000-to-win features, the $26,000 finale and the $3,000 point fund would depart the desert with over $378,000.
