ValleyStar 300 At Martinsville Speedway Postponed To Sunday Due To Rain
ValleyStar Credit Union 300 heat races at Martinsville Speedway will begin at 1 p.m. ET live on FloRacing.
Martinsville Speedway officials and NASCAR officials announced Saturday morning that the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 has been postponed to Sunday with heat races beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
The decision to postpone was made due to persistent rains forecasted to hit Virginia and North Carolina from Tropical Storm Ophelia.
Officials have decided that the four 25-lap qualifying heat races will now begin at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 24, and the 200-lap feature event will begin at. 5 p.m. ET on Sunday evening. Both events will still be live on FloRacing.

Qualifying for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 took place on Friday evening with Bobby McCarty turning in the fastest lap of the 84 cars on property at 19.704 seconds, which is a new Late Model Stock Car track record at Martinsville Speedway.
