The Battle at Berlin, one of the nation's richest pavement Late Model races, will feature a star-studded field on Wednesday, August 9 at Berlin Raceway. Drivers from the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series are set to join many of the nation's top short track stars in a battle for the $30,000 top prize.

Let's take a look at the NASCAR stars you can expect to see competing in Wednesday's race live on FloRacing

Chase Elliott

Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion and five-time most popular driver, returns to his Late Model roots for the fifth time this season. His best finish behind the wheel of a Super Late Model thus far this season came at North Wilkesboro Speedway when he finished third. He also finished sixth in the ASA STARS National Tour race at Hickory Motor Speedway, sixth in the Slinger Nationals and 19th (DNF) during CRA SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital Speedway.

Elliott has made five previous starts at Berlin Raceway, recording a best finish of second on two occasions. He last competed at the track during the 2015 Battle at Berlin.

William Byron

In addition to his series leading four NASCAR Cup Series wins this season, Byron also has two Super Late Model wins on his resume. His two wins came on back-to-back nights at New Smyrna Speedway when he won a World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing feature and then backed that up by winning the ASA Southern Super Series race.

Byron has made two previous starts at Berlin, including a win in the 2022 Money in the Bank 150 and an eighth-place finish in last year's Battle at Berlin.

Erik Jones

Berlin Raceway is like a second home to Erik Jones. The Michigan native has made 14 career touring series starts at the track dating back to 2010.

Jones enters the Battle at Berlin with momentum on his side after winning the Money in the Bank 150 in June. He's also a two-time Battle at Berlin winner and an ARCA Menards Series winner at the Marne, Michigan oval.

Josh Berry

Berry, who currently drives for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will be making his debut at Berlin Raceway during this year's Battle at Berlin. The future Stewart-Haas Racing driver was a dominant force driving Late Model Stock Cars before making the jump to the NASCAR Xfinity Series; however, he has limited experience behind the wheel of a Super Late Model.

Despite his limited time in a Super Late Model, Berry has qualified for the prestigious Snowball Derby in both of his attempts, including a pole-winning qualifying run in 2022.

Berry will drive the No. 71 TK Racing car led by Johnny VanDoorn, a two-time Battle at Berlin winner.

Carson Hocevar

Hocevar, a two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner this year, is another Michigan native who has experienced plenty of success at Berlin Raceway in the past. The Portage, Michigan driver became the youngest Late Model winner in track history at the age of 13 before going on to win back-to-back Money in the Bank 150s in 2020 and 2021.

Derek Kneeland

While Kneeland may not fall under the category of "NASCAR driver," he's about as close to that label as one can be without actually steering a race car. Kneeland is a veteran on the roof as the spotter for NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch.

When his schedule allows, Kneeland jumps behind the wheel of his family-owned No. 90 Super Late Model for a handful of races each year. Kneeland finished 17th earlier this year in the Money in the Bank 150 and 10th in the Keen Auto Parts 150 at Lee USA Speedway in July.

Other Notables

In addition to the drivers listed above, many of the nation's best short track racers will be looking to cash the $30,000 check. Super Late Model stars Bubba Pollard, Derek Griffith, Brian Campbell and defending winner Evan Shotko are all on the entry list. Jesse Love, a six-time ARCA Menards Series winner this season, will also strap back into a Super Late Model for Wednesday night's race. Tyler Roahrig, a two-time 500 Sprint Car Tour winner this season, will also be in action.
