Group A is loaded with star power including five Kings Royal winners highlighted by Kyle Larson, Brad Sweet, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman, and Brent Marks. Other hot shots in the first group include Logan Schuchart, James McFadden, Spencer Bayston, Giovanni Scelzi, and Anthony Macri. Additional names like Hunter Schuerenberg, Brady Bacon, Danny Dietrich, and Aaron Reutzel could spice things up in Group A.
Group B is just as tough including a daunting group of Rico Abreu, David Gravel, Sheldon Haudenschild, Carson Macedo, Tyler Courtney, and Buddy Kofoid. Other notables in the second group include Cory Eliason, Justin Peck, Brian Brown, Kerry Madsen, and Shane Stewart. Look for more including Parker Price-Miller, Jamie Veal, Jacob Allen, Sam Hafertepe Jr, and Brock Zearfoss to put those on upset alert.
Wednesday’s format for both groups will include a pair of inversions courtesy of the “Wheel of Misfortune.” Each group will face a Heat Race inversion of 6, 7 or 8 followed by a Feature inversion of 8, 9, or 10. Passing will be at a premium as drivers battle for points hoping to earn a front row spot in Thursday’s all-important Heat Races at the Eldora Million.
