In honor of the Fourth of July holiday, the country’s favorite nostalgia nitro series, Funny Car Chaos, is putting on its unique, flame-filled display of fun on July 7-8, 2023, at Kearney Raceway Park in Kearney, Nebraska with the 4th Annual Funny Car Chaos Nationals.

The largest funny car drag racing series in the world, Funny Car Chaos has more than 30 amazing machines pre-entered to compete side-by-side in an exhilarating display of unbridled speed.

On Friday, the test-n-tune session lets everyone get in on the dragstrip drama and perfect their cars’ tune ups before the main event begins on Saturday. With $5,000-to-win on the line for the Rodak’s Custom Coffee “A” Field and additional four-figure payouts in both the AlkyDigger “B” Field and Wulff Pumps “C” Field, the 4th Annual Funny Car Chaos Nationals is definitely going to be Nebraska’s wildest event of the year.

The weekend also features exciting Super Pro and Pro bracket racing action where racers compete on the tree and at the stripe with mere thousandths of a second separating the winners from the unlucky runners up. Additionally, the Nostalgia Eliminator Shootout showcases any slingshot dragster, altered, or fiat in a run whatcha’ brung format where any engine combination is approved.

For those wanting to experience the thrill of being propelled down the dragstrip for themselves, fans can also sign up in the pits to purchase a once-in-a-lifetime ride-along blast down the track in a real racecar from Proud American Motorsports, with choices ranging from a blown and injected 2-seater dragster, supercharged outlaw doorslammer, or a 3-seater naturally aspirated dragster.

An Independence Day Celebration like none other perfect for families and fans of all ages, kids ages 12 and under can enjoy free admission and the festivities will conclude on Saturday night with a special, spectacular fireworks display.
