Remember When Kyle Larson Won A Late Model Race At Daytona?

Kyle Larson will be making his CARS Tour debut on Wednesday night at North Carolina’s Caraway Speedway. The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion has won in every race car he’s ever sat in, and believe it or not, that includes a Late Model Stock Car.

Yes, Kyle Larson has won a LMSC race before. You probably don’t remember it, because it happened long before Kyle Larson was the winning machine we know him as today.

Larson made his first LMSC start on the makeshift backstretch bullring at Daytona International Speedway in the 2013 UNOH Battle at the Beach. Late in the race he found himself in second with a chance to take the victory, even with a battered race car. He chased down leader C.E. Falk on the final lap and slammed Falk entering turn three. The hit wasn’t enough to get by Falk, so Larson hit him again, this time turning Falk around while Larson went on to take the victory.

Since then, Larson has run one other LMSC race. That one also came 10 years ago in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway.

Race fans can watch Larson battle for the win in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car feature on Wednesday night at Caraway Speedway live on FloRacing with a FloRacing subscription. Race fans can subscribe by clicking here.
