Dirt Cup Winner Could Leave Skagit Speedway With More Than $80,000
The 51st Annual Super Dirt Cup at Skagit Speedway is one of the richest Sprint Car races of the 410 Sprint Car season.
The tail end of the Pacific Northwest Swing for the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series will take the tour to the historic Skagit Speedway for the 51st Annual Jim Raper Memorial Super Dirt Cup for a huge three-day show on June 22-24. This is the biggest payday on the NARC schedule, as the winner on Saturday night earns a whopping $62,000, making it the richest sprint car race on the West Coast and sixth in the entire nation.
“When anyone talks about Skagit Speedway, they automatically think of Dirt Cup,” said Skagit Speedway promoter Peter Murphy. “This race attracts so many good drivers that want to win it so badly, and having the NARC guys added to the mix makes it that much better. Be sure to bring a friend this weekend. You don’t want to miss it.”
On top of already paying a whopping $62,000 to win, drivers will have plenty of other ways to earn stout paydays. The runner-up will collect $26,000, while the third and fourth-place finishers get paid $18,000 and $11,000, respectively. Fifth place pays $5,000, and simply making Saturday’s main event will be worth $1,000.
Courtesy of generous supporters, each lap in Saturday’s 40-lap main event will award an extra $1,000, paid out $500-$300-$200 to the top three cars on every lap.
With a possible $20,000 in lap money added to the $62,000 winner's check, it's possible that the winner could walk away with $82,000 on Saturday alone.

Winning a prelim night will be no small payday, as Thursday and Friday both pay $4,100 to win. $550 will be paid to teams that travel over 250-miles to the event.
The money on the line this week trails only a handful of 410 Sprint Car events, including the $1,002,023-to-win Eldora Million at Eldora Speedway, $250,000-to-win High Bank Nationals at Huset's Speedway, $185,000-to-win (plus $1,000 per lap) Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, $175,000-to-win Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway and $75,000-to-win National Open at Williams Grove Speedway.
The 51st Annual Super Dirt Cup begins with two nights of preliminary action on Thursday and Friday, setting the stage for Saturday night's main event.
