KNOXVILLE, Iowa — With every car that Brian Shirley passed during his march forward from the 15th starting spot in Saturday’s 20th Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals finale, he seemed to be turning back the clock.

ROSSBURG, Ohio — No specific words, backstory or interaction could fully encapsulate Brian Shirley’s World 100 semifeature victory Friday at Eldora Speedway.

The second night of preliminary action for the 53rd World 100 was held Friday night at Eldora Speedway. Bobby Pierce claimed another preliminary night win in the first feature, while it was Brian Shirley driving to victory lane in the second prelim feature.

Farmer City, IL – The Mars Racing Series opened up Labor Day weekend on Thursday night at Farmer City Raceway. The first of a two-night doubleheader at the quarter-mile facility saw 20 Late Models checked in for a shot at the $5,000 payday.
