The second stop of the Red Line Synthetic Oil PDRA Drag Racing series brings the fastest 1/8th mile cars to Virginia Motorsports Park for the Mid-Atlantic Showdown.

Following a hot start a few weeks ago, the 2025 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series season will continue this weekend at the Travis Mills Foundation Mid-Atlantic Showdown presented by Red Line Shirt Club, May 1-3, at Virginia Motorsports Park. The first of two races on the schedule at the PDRA’s home track, the Mid-Atlantic Showdown will feature competition in all seven of the series heads-up categories, as well as several sportsman and Jr. Dragster classes.

Stevie “Fast” Jackson, just a couple months removed from a runner-up finish at the $150,000-to-win Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod, will be back behind the wheel of a Pro Nitrous entry for the first time since 2016 when the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series rolls back into Virginia Motorsports Park next weekend. Jackson will be in a proven hot rod at the Travis Mills Foundation Mid-Atlantic Showdown presented by Red Line Shirt Club, as he’ll drive Killin’ Time Racing customer Tim Paap’s Paap Auto Body Corvette. Paap drove it to a No. 1 qualifying position and the event win in his Pro Nitrous debut at the season-opening East Coast Nationals earlier this month.

For pro late model racers, the stage doesn't get any bigger than the FASTRAK World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway. The richest race in pro late model racing returns Saturday, September 24 with a $50,000 winner's check on the line.

You read the headline correctly. This weekend’s richest Dirt Late Model race will be held in Jamaica. Not the Carribean island nation with reef-lined beaches and rainforests, but the small unincorporated community located in Virginia with a population of just over 2,000.
