Racing in front of a packed house at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park, Johnny Camp charged to his first WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive event win in over two years Saturday evening at the PDRA Northern Nationals presented by Talbert Manufacturing. Held in conjunction with the track’s 23rd Northern Nationals presented by Gun Lake Casino, the fifth of eight races on the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour saw a mix of first-time winners and world champions park their hot rods in the FuelTech Winner’s Circle.

For the second consecutive year, the stars of the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series will take part in one of the most anticipated drag racing events in the Midwest. FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (Nov. 20, 2023) – On the heels of its 10th anniversary season of all-eighth-mile drag racing action, the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) announced today its eight-race 2024 schedule. The series will head to Bristol Dragway in Bristol, Tenn., for the first time, while also returning to five familiar racetracks throughout the East Coast and Midwest. Along with eight points-earning races, drivers will compete for the opportunity to take part in the fourth annual Summit Racing Equipment PDRA ProStars.

Two-time Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous world champion Tommy Franklin raced to his second Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) victory of the 2023 season Saturday night at the Northern Nationals presented by Talbert Manufacturing. Racing as a part of U.S. 131 Motorsports Park’s Northern Nationals thrill show, Franklin used a holeshot advantage to take out four-time and reigning world champion Jim Halsey in the final round.

RC Components, a longtime manufacturer of racing wheels, has been named the Official Race Wheel of the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA), series officials announced today. RC Components is the latest company to sign on in support of the PDRA’s 10th anniversary season.

Preston Tanner scored his first Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series (MWDRS) presented by J&A Service victory in his Stroud Safety Pro Mod debut Saturday night at US 131 Motorsports Park’s Honor Credit Union Funny Car Nationals. The 22-year-old former Jr. Dragster standout defeated points leader Dustin Nesloney when Nesloney went red in the final round. Tanner is now the fourth different Pro Mod winner in the five races the series has contested so far this season.

The 2022 Mid-West Drag Racing Series US 131 Nationals on September 9-10 will be run in conjunction with one of the largest growing events at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan, The 18th Annual Honor Credit Union Funny Car Nationals.
