Big-time racing has made its long-awaited return to Rockingham Speedway on April 19, as the ARCA Menards Series East rolled into North Carolina for a 125-lap showdown.

The ARCA Menards Series East heads to North Carolina for the second race of the season, as Rockingham Speedway welcomes the 125-lap ARCA race on April 19 for the first time in over 10 years.

During a press conference today at Rockingham Speedway, Venturini Motorsports (VMS) announced the sale of the team to Nitro Motorsports.

The ARCA Menards Series East is set for its second race of the 2025 season on Saturday, which sees the division return to the historic Rockingham Speedway for the first time in more than a decade. And with that return comes a large field pushing 30 cars for Saturday’s 125-lap race.

Three-time SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic champion Burt Myers scored his first win of 2024, in the Battle of SOBO, on Hitachi Energy Power-Up Raceday, Saturday at South Boston Speedway in Virginia. Myers, from Walnut Cove, NC, took the lead for the second and last time during a restart on lap 86 from Mike Speeney, from Newtown, PA. The Citrusafe Grill Cleaners number-1 then held off Ryan Newman, from South Bend, IN, and Jake Crum, from Statesville, NC, for the victory, his first at the southern Virginia race track.

A schedule change for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic will bring the series back to South Boston Speedway in Virginia for the second time in 2024.
