After last season’s successful revival following a five-year absence, Appalachian Mountain Speedweek returns Friday at Clinton County Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa., the opening night of the eight-race miniseries spanning 10 days.

Dan Stone’s path in the first half of Appalachian Mountain Speedweek hasn’t been easy. He’s been forced to rally through consolation races in three of the four miniseries events to earn some kind of reward come feature time.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Drake Troutman rolled into the revival of Appalachian Mountain Speedweek fully convinced he has the goods to win the miniseries championship.

PORT ROYAL, Pa. — Colton Flinner is usually one of the busiest racers in the Northeast, making annual trips to Florida-Georgia Speedweeks at the beginning of the year and racing weekly at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., and Port Royal Speedway.

After his first career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car victory on Friday night at Big Diamond, Thorson established that he’s not willing to settle for just being the top Rookie with the series.  His ideals involve winning races and winning a championship.

The Keystone Invasion finale this Sunday night, April 25, at Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, Pa., featuring the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship, will not air live on FloRacing, and instead will be made available on-demand following the event’s completion that same night.
