Speedway, Indiana -- Rainfall and storms forecasted throughout the remainder of the week have rained out both of this weekend’s USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship events, on Saturday, April 4, at Indiana’s Paragon Speedway and on Saturday, April 5, at Sumner, Illinois’ Red Hill Raceway.

It will have been exactly 50 days since we’ve last seen the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship in action.

In what has been a renaissance 2021 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car season following a winless 2020 campaign, Kevin Thomas Jr. added one more tally to his ever-growing win list for this year, conquering a Sunday night, caution-free duel between he and Logan Seavey at Indiana’s Paragon Speedway.

From the drop of the green flag until his drop to the ground in his post-race celebration, Thomas Meseraull captivated the audience with a wildly entertaining Indiana Midget Week opener Thursday night at Paragon Speedway.

Entering last year’s Indiana Midget Week, it had been 35 years since we had last seen USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget racing at Paragon (Ind.) Speedway.

Sunday’s USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car event from Paragon (Ind.) Speedway was rained out after persistent showers doused the surface in what was to be the series’ first appearance at the track since 1998.

July 25, 1998 – where were you?  Saving Private Ryan was the number one movie at the box office and Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” was still dominating the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
