Shakopee, Minn. ~ The official start of winter started a little later this season, with a mid-January arrival applying a vice-grip across much of North America. Despite the harsh reality of winter's frigid comeuppance, it was business as usual for the top snocross circuit on the planet went to work in frigid temps in Shakopee, Minn.

Shakopee, Minn. -The 2023-2024 AMSOIL Championship Snocross season opened up in mid-December with great racing in Ironwood, Mich. What it didn’t have was ideal snow conditions as the world’s best snowmobile racers tackled a dirty downhill track with five-time defending champion Elias Ishoel taking the opening round win.

It was a picture-perfect day for AMSOIL Championship Snocross fans in Sioux Falls, S.D. Blue skies mixed with rising pre-spring temperatures before turning into a memorable night of racing at Huset’s Speedway.

The second half of the 2022-23 AMSOIL Championship Snocross season took a first time trip to Huset’s Speedway in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Octane Ink Snocross National featured a track that rewarded those that were both fearless and safe, often in the same turn or obstacle laid out on the roughed up racetrack.

The 2022-2023 AMSOIL Championship Snocross title chase continues in Shakopee, MN. The world’s greatest Snocross racers convene at Canterbury Park. The venue has been a mainstay to the sport for over two decades. The Canterbury Park Snocross venue concept was pioneered by series owner and 2023 Snowmobile Hall of Fame Inductee, John Daniels.

The snow is flying and Snocross racers are making their first laps of the season at the practice tracks which means the 2022-2023 AMSOIL Championship Snocross season is fast approaching.
