We cringe when it happens, and we hold our breath until we witness them emerge from the carnage. It’s not the pretty side of the sport we love, and the end result is a lot of shop time put in to rebuild and gather up the pieces to race on. Crashes are an inherent part of the sport and these sometimes are the consequences. Here, we present eight of the gnarliest, wild rides from the 2020 USAC National season, all of which saw each driver walk away and race on.
5. A Hopkins, Skip & A Jump Over The Curb

A.J. Hopkins barrel rolls several times over the turn 1 curb at Lincoln Park Speedway in July. Hopkins later went on to win the Lincoln Park Sprint Car track championship for 2020.
