Senoia Raceway's Unique Plan To Save Peach State Classic From Hurricane
Senoia Raceway has begun assembling tarps on the racing surface to protect from Hurricane Nicole's affects ahead of the 2022 Peach State Classic.
Mother Nature has thrown a wrench into this yearās Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway, as Hurricane Nicole made landfall early Thursday morning in Florida as a category one hurricane. Thursday night the track is likely to see significant rain showers from the band of storms.
But today in Southern Georgia, Senoia Speedway has thrown a Hail Mary of their own, as Bubba Pollard and track crew assemble any tarp they can find to cover the 3/8 mile clay oval.

Thursday's practice has been cancelled, and the waiting game begins to see just how much moisture the grounds will get and whether or not this heroic effort will indeed save the 2022 Peach State Classic.
