Star-Studded Field Expected For Castrol FloRacing Night at Eldora
A stout field of Dirt Late Model drivers is expected for Tuesday night's Castrol FloRacing Night in America at Eldora Speedway.
The 2022 Castrol FloRacing Night in America season will begin with a bang Tuesday night at the race track known as "The Big E." Many of the best Dirt Late Model drivers in America are expected to be in attendance to open the season at Eldora Speedway.
Like the majority of Castrol FloRacing Night in America races this year, Tuesday night's race will pay $22,022 to the winner of the 50-lap main event. The event will serve as the debut for the popular mid-week series at Eldora.
Highlighting the current list of expected entries is four-time World 100 winner and defending Castrol FloRacing Night in America champion Jonathan Davenport.
Brandon Overton, who dominated Eldora Speedway one year ago with two Dirt Late Model Dream wins and a World 100 win, is also expected to make the trip to Rossburg, Ohio.
2022 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is expected to chase his first career Dirt Late Model win at Eldora. "Yung Money" already has an impressive resume at the track, including wins in the 4-Crown Nationals, Kings Royal and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Sprint Car star Tyler Courtney, the defending All Star Circuit of Champions champion, will be in attendance to make his Dirt Late Model debut. Courtney was victorious in one of the two Kings Royal events hosted last year at Eldora.
Four-time World of Outlaws Late Model champion Brandon Sheppard, former World 100 winner Bobby Pierce and the always-entertaining Tyler Erb will also be in attendance.
Mike Marlar, the winner of the recent Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge Powered by Tezos, is expected to chase the checkered flag after finishing second in last September's World 100.
Other Dirt Late Model stars expected to compete include Shane Clanton, Josh Richards, Brian Shirley, Darrell Lanigan, Tanner English and Ricky Thornton, Jr. A full list of expected entries can be viewed at the bottom of this story.
Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET with qualifying, heat races and b-mains to follow. Modifieds and Stock Cars will join the Super Late Models on the schedule.
Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch the action live on FloRacing. If you're not already a subscriber, click here to join today.
